Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

That was FABULOUS

Did not know the 1010 was accomplished in three stages. Our 65 did it in two. The 3 stage is so cool and exciting. Learn something new every day. Did the 65 spin at less than 1010?

Also intrigued by the hurl back in the 1-18 at the third minute of the vid. Is it even more dramatic and fulsome at high water levels?

So glad you've trained the solenoid robot to call the Unbalanced Load Police after the wash spin so that the rinse spin will be oh so nice and smooth.

Mikey, what model was your 1965 Frigidaire? Only the Imperial and Custom Imperial had the rapid 1010 dry I do believe? One on of my mom's best friends had a WCI65 and it did the 1010 target in 3 stages. Another friend of my mom's had a WCD65. It just had two spin speeds. The Custom Imperial actually had 4 spin speeds.

Just for information sake

The progression of the spin speeds in rpms are <span style="font-size: small;">300, </span><span style="font-size: small;">675, 1010</span>

As others said, the Rollermatic Rapidry models had 4 spin speeds 300-450-675-1010 RPM and the 1010 speed was achieved in 3 steps:
-The first one being the 300 RPM with the motor on slow speed
-Then 675 with the high speed solenoid energized but the motor still on slow speed,
-Finally 1010 as the motor gets on high speed.

The 450 RPM spin is achieved on Rapidry models on some settings with the motor on high speed but the high spin speed solenoid not energized.
