When you think about it , its kind of sensible! All dials should be made that way.

Questions:
1) What brand of dryer is this? I agree with Jetcone--it looks like a GE.
2) Did the accompanying washer have a "telephone dial" control, too?

GE Under-Counter Dryer

This was a one model only GE dryer, it is a W model [ it has nothing to do with Bush ] so it would be a 1962-3 machine. We did a thread about this cool dryer a month or so ago, I guess there is a way to revive and link the two threads. But in any event this dryer was designed to be built in under a counter-top and was marketed as a companion to the unusual Sink-Top GE FF washer that I already have. I will have the washer cabinet painted pink to match this dryer and install both at the museum.

Thanks for posting the link to the original thread... I didn't know how to do that when I posted the photos here or of the Westy D1000/L1000 set. They are amazing and beautiful machines, and in such pristine condition, super additions to Johns already-amazing collection!
