Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I think I remember this model from a neighbor's house. Do the pushbuttons light up in different colors, hi being red, and then to orange and yellow?
A really cool find.

Wow!

Nice find! A modern appliance company could run their assembly line all day and not use that much steel, LOL.

What year is it- about a '52? I'm especially impressed that it still has the insert for its deep-well cooker; those have often disappeared from surviving ranges.

just awesome

Im curious tho, whats your plans? Are you doing a retro 50s kitchen?

I love the head there looks like an air space dash of some futuristic space ship.

If you do a remodle be sure to post us some pictures

What a Beauty

I remeber my Grandmother had a "Drop in " GE Range with the push buttons on the front of the stove just above the oven door (1961). My cousin who was about 4 years old at the time would always be turning the stove on when no one was in the kitchen. Those were the good old days when everyone lived on the edge.No safety features which meant you had to stay alert !!!!

My stove

Guys I got this for my kitchen but the space where my old stove is to small but i wanna redo my kitchen to use this...the place I got it from said the button do light up different colors but i have not fired it up yet ....i'd like to rewire it first

Really nice range. Do you know if replacement burner elements are easy to find for this one? Spare elements for my mom's '49 Westy range have proven to be impossible to locate. The reason all but one of its original burners have lasted so long is that nobody ever slid frying pans around master chef style on the elements while cooking. The pan stayed still and you stirred. A good habit to get into if elements are tough to come by, and I suspect that owners manuals for electric ranges probably recommended this back in those days.

Good luck with your remodel. I'd be so anxious to get this stove in and working if I were in your shoes! It's a beauty!
