You have all taught me so many things that have made my life nicer.
the new Pledge for dusting and the alcohol dip for window marks from Oxy
the shredded soap tricks from Susdy and others
the constant alerts to Ebay machines from the illustrious "L"
the huge discussion about tankless water heaters from Joe
I'm always trying to master the glass and the wood, expending the least amount of time possible, and Oxy's methods are the quickest and so far longest-lasting. Thank You, Sandy for a real boon.
The other day a well-used bar of Irish Spring fell into the sink overnight. By morning it was mush, so i ran to the Lady, squished the soap, added a bit of liquid Calgon and a bit of HE Tide, engaged the FILTER/DRAIN level, and got the most beautiful smelling load of towels. Days later, they still smell like Irish Spring. Today I stocked up on bars of Ivory, Dial (all-time fav) and, of course, more Irish Spring. Along-awaited olfactory dream come true, since a can't buy vintage detergent any more. Thank You, Sudsy
Because of Laundress, I have a nearly mint Hoover arriving Saturday, very cheaply.
The pump the current one, is long since shot, and new ones are hard to come by or very expensive. I owe you big. I'll let you borrow it for a season or two. I mean it. It has the Automatic Rinse. Thank You, Cimberlie
FOR THISE OF YOU DYING TO LINE DRY BUT DON'T have the time for a big set-up
Go to any hardware store, local or national, and buy a few large screw hooks. They're a couple inches in length and severe--watch the point. Hand screw them--yes, you don't even need any tools, HONEST! --into any tree or beam or deck or what ever, and if you need a clothes pole, all lumber and Home Depot's etc will notch you out a few 1 or 2 x 8's or 10"s whatever. You'll be in line dry ecstasy this very afternoon.
Anyone else want to say thanks or acknowledge learning something helpful, that made your life nicer?
Mike
