KA dishwasher model confirmation

Hello all! Two part question for the experts here; thank you in advance for any input you can give:

1. Is this dishwasher a KitchenAid KDC-18?
2. I'm keeping an eye out for a KDS-17 or KDS-18 near me (debating between the convenience and fun of "party mode" and not having to worry about how it's loaded when my husband is filling it). Would the parts from this be more or less interchangeable with one of those models if I were to grab this and hang onto it for parts? It's listed for free near me on Craigslist, or the owner is taking it to the dump.

Hi Liz, very little is the same from this DW as a KDS-17, both are good machines in many ways.

KDI-17 Kitchenaid DW

Hi Liz, we are in Beltsville Md. I have an unused KDI-17 that needs a home, it is the middle model from the 17 series KA line-up.

 

The DW we have was installed in a home but ever used, when the kitchen got remolded about 10 years ago I saved the DW for a friend who does not need it now.
