I just spoke withe a nice man from Rhode Island.

He sent me pics. This machine he says was Never Used.

A friend of his bought it for his Aunt and was one of those people that says "They waste Electricity and Water. I can clean them better myself".

The only thing...

Keeping me from getting it, is not having a spray arm under the top rack. I have 3 single arm machines. And when I cook, I "BobLoad" the heck out of them. The single arm machines have to be loaded too carefully. Just my feeling.

However, it is gorgeous !!!

I wish Autowasherfreak could afford to have this shipped. This would be perfect for him and his dream harvest gold kitchen.

What a great find!
Don't worry if it has the upper spray arm or not. Loaded properly, this can be the best dishwasher you could ever own. And to think it was not used but a few times. This baby could run for 40+ years.

Ed, Please dont ask!

Ed, I would love that machine all bright and shiny, but I will tell you right now, I would stip it apart and use all the electromechanical parts to make it into a 17-1/2 and use them in a taller 18-23 tank so I would have a super washing dishwasher with all the great functions of the 17.
All I have to do is extend the wiring harnesses in the door so they will reach the bottom of the taller tank.
I will wait 'til I see that 18 instead on the back of your pickup and let someone else take this one.

BTW, I am still waiting to hear from you on your itinerary!

i agree,

that machine will clean better than anything you could buy, one spray arm or two! i have a kdss-17a as my main kitchen dishwasher and i would not want any other model! the 17's are my all time favorite kitchenaid.

if no one else grabs this one i will check into it, the fact that it is like brand new is too tempting! i hope someone else does grab it first! i don't need it, not do i need to be spending money paying jim to deliver it! but it calling out to me! i know i am addicted to these machines!

HA!

People (especailly older folks) without a dishwasher invariably have the dirtiest and greaiest dishes and pots and pans. Unless they are washing the dishes with ammonia (a degreaser), there is no physical way on this earth the dishwasher does not degrease better.

Hand-washed dishes also contain literally 100x more germs.

Bottom line: Women LOVE to play with water. Many also equate touching and fussing with somnething (spending time with it) means "I LOVE" and "I CARE". The concept that a machine can do something better/faster than a person can is anathema to them.

My grandmother would wash the clothes in the bathtub and THEN put them in the washer.

No matter. This machine will make a great catch!
