This machine is great for homes that have the hot water tank on one side of the house and the kitchen on the other.
It sure does look nice! Hope she'll do good by you for years and years to come!

Yes this replaced my KDS-14 , she needs a rest the tub is shot. I think I may have found a donor tub but thats a big job for right now.
Last year when Greg was here we picked up a 20 Patrician which I played around with and rebuilt. I liked it so much I wanted to step up to the quieter version and found this machine last march down on the Cape. It had heavy use but the tub was in great shape so I rebuilt this machine and as I was working on it I found the panels new in box on ebay.
It just purrs and boy I really see a difference in clean between the 20 and the 21 although I don't think the cycles are all that different.
Its a keeper for sure.

HOW? This machine fills for the prewash without the motor running then sits and heats the water. Once the water is heated, it throws it against room temperature dishware. I can tell you from measuring the temperature with a thermometer that the water temperature is reduced to around 100F by the time it drains. Then you have the water sitting in the pipe and cooling while the machine has heated the water and gone thorugh the prewash and that cooled water is what goes into the next fill. Even if it cleans as well as the 20, it cannot rinse as well with only one after rinse. The residual alkalinity from inadequate rinsing is what attacks the racks over time.
And, Jon, the cycle is different from the 20.

Jon the stainless steel on that machine its like a light in my room from the shine.
That is one heck of a restoration job and how lucky to find or get a New control panel!!!
