Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

We had the matching washer to that for a while... it seemed to work fairly well but you could smell burning rubber when you ran a full load. We ended up giving it to friends who had a house fire and desperately needed a washer. It lasted them about a month and the pump went out, flooding their laundry room and bedroom.

My brother had the matching washer. His sister in law gave it to him, and she had originally gotten it from her father. It performed fairly well, especially considering how hard both he and his sister in law had abused and overloaded it. (A few months after he got it, I noticed an odd smell in his kitchen, and finally tracked it to the washer. Turned out he had never once cleaned the bed of nails lint filter, and didnt even realize it was there. I showed him how to clean it, and when I was next there, I discovered he had removed it and thrown it away so he wouldnt have to clean it anymore.)

He would still have it, but the plate that supports the inner tub, (no idea what the part is called) broke in half during one of his laundry marathons. He now listens to me, and slightly underloads his new washer, lol.

I have 2 washers to match that dryer! One is a porcelain tub but BOL model that I use to wash the dogs bedding, shop rags, etc. The other has a few more options, has seen little use in it's lifetime, but has the plastic tub. I'll probably pass this one on to one of the needy families in the community. I wish I could put the porcelain tub into the nicer machine and keep that one but from the looks underneath the agitator, they don't look exactly interchangeable. They both have angel wing agitators which are fun to watch.
