Kelvinator LR-G43 rewire

I had a burner spark last night and I was thinking of rewiring the entire stove rather than just replacing the burner and receptacle. My problem is I cannot find a wiring diagram or wiring harness for this. It uses the 4 prong element and I am willing to convert to a 2 prong element, but I’m not sure what that entails. Talk to me like a beginner. I’ve rewired lamps and installed electrical and rewired a dryer. But I’m not sure what is between connections on the stove between knob and element.

Can anyone help me with a diagram or give me any insight into this at all?

I imagine the burner controls would need to be reconfigured, if that's even possible.  I would also be concerned over whether new replacement burners would even fit (or look) right.

 

My mom's 1949 Westinghouse electric stove was 60 years old when she passed away, only one burner ever needed to be replaced, and it failed without any fanfare.  Other than that, only the occasional loose or broken wire had to be re-fastened to a connecting block, mainly on the one burner that got used the most. 

 

I think you can simply repair the burner connection and leave things be, presuming the cause of the sparking didn't blow out the element.

Yeah, don't fix what ain't broke. Replace the burner, and recepticle.
