Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

My aunt had that dw as a built-in in Avocado, in their 1972 built "California Ranch" (built in the middle of a Wisconsin corn field).

It lasted about 15 years and the replaced it with a pos WCI product that slowly leaked and rotted the floor.
Other than that, I'm sure no one's had any complaints about White Westinghouse products from the 80s. nope

#21

Was the updated version of #18.  this "added" a Rinse & Dry button because it replaced the SaniWash button because the rinse became a two button option of normal rinse or sani rinse.  This was also toward the end of the roto rack because it had the hot and cool dry rocker switch to the right of the timer dial.  Aside from the dry option, this was the exact model & color of the one in the house in Houston.

#25 wasn't that posted a couple of months ago?
At the rate they're rusting, there can't be much more than the top left.

I had that set brand new back in January 1986.

Either the basement has flooded several times, and/or the gas ignitor is burning way too hot and/or [this is gross but I've seen it] they have a dog or cat they lock in the basement that urinates or sprays in the house, on the appliances.

Thoughts about #25

I really thought, at the least, that there might be some parts worth salvaging since the exteriors are rough. And yes, I seem to have come across this set before. If you have a new set, in 1986 no wonder your eyes are (doubly) assaulted.

I'd still say, there's parts in them thar hills, parpmer(partner).

Oh definitely, Phil

I wouldn't turn these down. I little bit of rust isn't going to ruin the fun. I'd just have to wear a clothes pin on my nose, and have pepper spray at the ready to fight off the Doberman in that basement. His days of lifting his leg on these beauties have come to an END !

Fighting for your appliances. That's the trait of a good AW member.
