Kenmore dryer

Could anyone give me a rough estimate on the age of this dryer? It is on my local classified ads and appears to be in decent condition. Not that it would match my white washer...lol. Also, does anyone know how well they work? If I remember correctly older Kenmore/Whirlpool dryers are some of the most reliable out there...is that correct?

give or take a year--

It's actually the old style 50's thru approx 1965 design with the entire rotating drum and 2 belts, not the 66 and later design with the revolving cylinder and stationary front and back bulkheads with one belt running around the entire cylinder. Not as efficient nor as large a drum, but a reliable dryer nonetheless. PArts are still easily available since it's a Kenmore, so buy it if the price is right.

I have 2 electric and one gas Kenmore from this design, all 3 are reliable medium sized machines. The 1966 and later are a full step up, true.

Nice Dryer

Definitely a sixties machine. You'll have to get the serial number to be sure. It appears to be a Canadian Kenmore sold by Simpsons Sears. Dependable unit.
