Gordon,

You wanted to know about parts for older Kenmores. Well these are parts donors unless someone wants the whole dryer.

Cool dryers!

Rich -

I'm thinking I should head toward an older dryer without concern, so I am proceeding with gusto. Several nice folks have offered assistance, including yourself, so I figure "why not?!"

I love the turq. '65 - hate to see it be a parts donor! The other dryer believe it or not is an early '70s machine (1971 or 1972 I believe) which was made to look like something older. I don't know why Sears had a spurt of retro-mania on that model and at least one other. They used the early 60's heavy metal pointer knobs, with painted centers, but they were painted lighter gray instead of black/dark charcoal. Their plastic door handles and long lint screens are easy give-aways to their age. I still think they're cool though, and it's interesting to note that Sears did not market washers to match, not that I am aware of anyway.

Thanks Rich!

Gordon
