According to Consumer Reports, the 60 minutes on the timer dial was insufficient to dry a load of laundry spun to the same uniform level of dampness as for all of the other dryers in the electric version unless it was on a 50 amp circuit. The gas version with the blaster burner had no trouble drying a load in less than an hour. These can be made much more efficient by John's gluing felt strips in two strategic positions on the bulkhead behind the perforated back of the drum. That they made this energy-wasting POS design for so many years is a crime against the poor people who bought Sears crap and had higher utility bills because of it. WP could have done better sooner.
