Wow!

That is an awesome gas stove! One burner 16,000 btu, a 12,000 btu griddle, and I guess 2 9,000 btu burners? What is a "maid-o-matic" - anyone know? Imagine how much heat that would produce in the kitchen!

Reminds me of a cookbook featuring recipes written by children. I recall one recipe for Roast Turkey that began, "First you have to get the kitchen real, real hot then tell all the kids to get out of here..."

I believe the "maid-0-matic" was the thermostatically-controlled burner (right front on this model). I had an earlier version of this in my last home. Mine was a 1957, 36" wide model that I loved and hated leaving behind.

I think it would be nice if anyone in 'Lake Wobegon' were interested in this range would contact the seller and arrange for a personal inspection.  They could report their findings and whether they were going to place a bid.

I'm just sayin......

I had contacted them......

And had plans to look at it today. The person handling the estate said the "estate" has decided to keep the appliances with the apartment and they are no longer for sale!

HELP!

I know this is an old post, but I am looking for a manual for this stove or something similar :( They will not install it for me without one!!

In Maine, no licensed installer can hook up a stove that is not either pilot light, they would rather not, or electric ignition preferred. They can not hook a stove with a match light oven because some idiot turned the oven on years ago, smelled gas went to light it and boom. If you have the gas line right there, stove is set correct for natural or propane, with a teflon tape connection and soapy water to check all connections always worked for me and never any problems.

Patricia...

Not sure what the circumstances are with your installer but, this may help you.

Here are a couple pages from a manual that I have for a Kenmore 103.208701.

This has the info for adjusting the burners for all gases and other info about the range. Is this what you need?

This appears to be a 1957 model.

I look for this kind of stuff at estate sales, garage sales, flea markets, etc. for my own interest but sometimes it helps someone else in the group.

If this is what you seek, it can be copied and sent your way.

Well...

Thank you all for your responses. I was away and just got back. So, the problem is I have electric and want to convert to gas and they need the measurements that are in the manual
since it seems my cabinets are too low :( and yes, correct about the pilot light and the boom! I hope I can even find someone to do it after what happened like a month ago with the gas explosion in Durham...Im in N C
