Kenmore Limited Edition "Digital" Washer

Ok, saw the Matag version of this washer on fleaBay several weeks ago, so assuming Maytag built this version for Sears.

Whirlpool has been the only manufacturer of KM TL washers since 1947. (full size models that is)

Actually Whirlpools association with Sears goes back further

In 1916 Sears contracted with the Upton Machine Corporation (now known as Whirlpool) to make wringer washers for Sears. In the 1920's Upton Machine was bought by the 1900 washing machine company and soon there after Whirlpool became a model name for 1900's line of washers. The company formally became Whirlpool Corp. in 1950
