I currently own a A701A and I’d like to start using it, I’ve really only got the mincer and the The blender, as well as the slicer shredder and a single blade for it,
I want to be able to use it for more things, I admit I haven’t really used it Quite as I ended up forgetting about it and Mom put it in the shed By the way, does anybody know if there is an adapter that goes from 700 series slow speed attachments to 900 series slow speed attachments i.e. The real difference is the position of the locking pin at least to my knowledge,

Kenwood Chefs were made here in Australia (not sure what period, but for decades, I think), they were very popular so there should be no need to import parts from the UK.

I think Adam is asking about accessories, not about the standard bowl and beaters / whisk.

I can't help with that, I own a couple of the accessories but don't use them.

I still own my Grandmother's Kenwood Chef from late sixties or early seventies, she gave it to me in the 1980s. I use it regularly, mainly for the dough hook to make my own gluten-free bread. I love that connection with my Nan, she was a really lovely person and a fabulous cook. I also have my mother's old Kenwood Chef, basically the same model, but it is not in as good condition - one of my sisters took the back cover (where the liquidiser/blender attaches) for her own Kenwood, when Mum was past using it. My other sister has a newer Kenwood Chef, probably 1990s or early 2000s model with electronic speed control. So we are a Kenwood Chef family...

I do have the kenlite bowl,

But I’ll have to try and find them or I’ll probably Get some used ones, and I am a little bit curious is it possible to adapt the slow speed outlet? That way you can use Modern attachments on it? Plus I wonder if it still uses the same thread for the older attachments

Hi Adam

It's still not clear what you want.

Do you have the wire whisk? The K-beater?

I have spares of at least the whisk, and possibly the K-beater as well.

If you want them, you can have them, you would have to pay postage.

I'm not certain but I thought the accessories are the same over several generations of machine? They don't connect via a thread, they are specially shaped fittings at each end of the main unit. For example, the blender (Kenwood called it a Liquidiser) fits by a sort of bayonet - place the blender on the machine and turn it about 1/4 turn.

low speed-front face- attachment port

Hi Adam, I have not heard of an adapter for this port and as you probably know the very first Kenwood machines through to the 702 series have a locator pin in a different quadrant than the 901 and modern units. I think the spline is also a different size so I think your best bet for finding front attachments-coffee grinder, mincer, bean slicer pea huller, can opener, rotary grater slicer- would be your local Gumtree or other online resale site. The blenders for the rear port might be interchangeable. Good luck in your search.

Thank you Fisher, I haven’t Really had any luck, as the closest one that was to me really someone only forgot to take down the advert as they got rid of it months ago, I’m still looking though

Gizmo, if you do have the k beater And the whisk, I’d love to have those, let me know if you have any other attachments

Hi Adam,

I’ve collected most of the attachments for the A700 and 701, I also have an A901 I got BNIB 3 years ago, plus all the 900 series attachments.

They take up a huge amount of space and other than the potato peeler and the modern food processor bowl and dicer, I rarely use anything other than the paddle and whisk. Be aware that to collect the attachments, they will take up a lot of space.

For the front drive, they make an adaptor to fit the modern hex spline shaft to the 900 series front drive. It has no top side, so in theory you could use it rotated 180 degrees to fit on the 700 series, assuming the shaft is the same thickness.

Cheers

Nathan
