Hi Everyone

At our Costco Store, they have been out of Tide HE Liquid for some time and I noticed the other day that they had Kirkland Washing Liquid. I would love to hear what your experiences are with these and what you prefer.

Many thanks Bruce

Well....

...if it's anything like the Kirkland Liquid I've bought here, it's pretty good stuff for a good price. Everything, even very dirty garden clothes came nice and clean in my top loader, even in temperature controlled cold water. Plus, they weren't overly scented once the clothes were dry (I don't care for stuff that's too heavily perfumed).

I like their detergent, their liquid softener, and their dryer sheets. The only reason I don't buy them is that a Costco membership doesn't pay for just me.

I've been using their fragrance and dye-free HE liquid for a year now, and am pleased with the results. Normally I use it on items that are not heavily soiled, and/or need to be kept as soft as possible, like bath towels or bed sheets. For more heavily soiled items I normally use a powder like Sears Ultra Plus boosted by STPP. The Kirkland liquid seems to rinse out well and doesn't seem to add harshness to towels.

Thank you for your feedback

Hi to all the feedback

Mike and Jon, Thank you for your feedback, but unfortunately we are not offered the Kirkland Dryer Sheets or Fabric Softener, but will keep an eye for if Costco do. Costco Australia have a 80% Australian/20% US ratio. Basically if there is not a comparative Australian product, they will import a US product.

Richard, thank you for letting me know about the towel softness as I will definitely keep that in mind for my towels, although my new Miele has 4 rinses and I have not yet noticed any residue yet.

Again, thanks to all and would love further feedback x

Hey Bruce just letting you know that I have bought Kirkland softener from Melbourne Costco last year it's in the same packaging as the laundry liquid was really nice would be disappointed if they stop bringing it in. As I live in Adelaide and we are still waiting for a Costco to open I hope that by the time it gets to us they don't stop with all the US products. Any way enjoy! Jim

Thanks Jim

Hi Jim

Thank you for letting me know about Kirkland Fabric Softner as I have never seen it when I have been to Costco. But I will definietly keep an eye out for it.

I think that a Costco opening in Adelaide won't be for at least 3 or so years. Canberra is the next store to open, then I would guess that they will open in Queensland next, then possible Adelaide.

All the best Bruce
