The machine looks wonderful, but that comment about needing a $65 timer threw me... I know what fun it can be trying to find a timer for a vintage machine, so I'm a bit reluctant on this...
This machine looks to be in great shape. Even the racks look good...no rust it seems. It would almost be worth it just for the parts. I am restoring a KDS17A and these racks would work. Plus I need the wash arm and the wash arm support since the arm and support in the machine is so worn. And for just the arm they want $70 and the support they want $60. the top rack is NLA....so the hunt is on...
I have the timer if anyone wants it or other parts for a regency dishwasher other than the racks (they are very bad in it). let me know, after monday the machine is going to the scrap yard, more than happy to take out any parts anyone might want tho, just pay shipping from Vancouver BC.

I had that dishwasher new back in the day about 1975. I bought it at Woodwards dept store downtown Vancouver although mine was avocado green. Wonderful machine, has the built in fan forced drying, hidden element. Excellent dw for only have a bottom spray arm.
Well I picked up the wash arm support yesterday and paid around $60 for it. The parts place I bought it from in Portland Maine told me that Whirlpool is discontinuing most of the older KitchenAid dishwasher parts. I wanted to order a new 4 way Hydrosweep and he told me they were NLA. Luckily I had one that I used in my now departed KitchenAid Dishwasher..I should have kept the racks since they were in great shape but oh well...live and learn. So I will be installing the parts in the KDS-17A...now I am on the hunt for racks that are in decent shape...they will turn up soon. Oh and I will take a few pics of the dishwasher that I am fixing shortly.
