KitchenAid Dishwasher

A co-worker called for service on her KitchenAid dishwasher(purchased in 2001). Seems the dishwasher filled but the motor did not work. She was told that the motor was burnt out and to replace the motor would be $300. She opted not to repair her 4 year old KitchenAid dishwasher and asked the repair man for his reccomendation. He told her hot to spend the money on another KitchenAid and, to get a GE Profile. She had it installed today. Will update you on her results. Any comments on the KitchenAid or GE profile?

If the machine is less than 5 years old, the pump-motor is covered. She'll pay the labor.
