Hey fellas, I just put my wringer in the van for my "how times have changed" lesson with the kids. Wish me luck. When I turned the wringer on its side to keep the oil from coming out, I took off the transmission knob and noticed some stress cracks. Any suggestions on how to repair a knob that isn't broken yet?[this post was last edited: 6/2/2014-21:23]

Will, I have successfully used the epoxy from one of those fibreglass patching kits to reinforce dials like this.   My GE washer/dryer combo's original dials were saved using this method.   Just be sure to use this stuff outdoors or somewhere very well-ventilated.

Could it be possible to get something like this around the broken part to reinforce it after you have glued the cracks?
