Good morning fellow enthusiasts!
I just picked up a Lady Kenmore Combination Washer Dryer and I would like to fully restore it for daily use. I’m told it was fully functional when last used as little over a year ago, but the condition of the small round belt has me doubting that it was in use that recently.
At the advice of @combo52 I have ordered eureka upright vacuum belts to replace the belt that is cracked in the photo. The V belts (part numbers in photos) I’m taking to Purvis to be matched unless someone can recommend a specific brand that works best.
I haven’t had time to parooze past threads here yet, but if anyone has any advice about things I should look for before and during the initial test drive, I’d be very grateful. I’d hate to cause any unnecessary damage to this Lady due to ignorance.
I noticed upon first inspection that it says to loosen the thumb screw before moving it…. But that was after I got it home and lord knows how the previous owners handled it. How worried should I be about that?
Thank y’all!
