"Lady Kenmore" Washer and Gas Dryer Set - $400

What's wrong with each

Well, I just sent this message to Kevin:

I'm not sure what is wrong with them. I was using the washer up until last week when the spin cycle stopped working properly. Then, the drum stopped moving completely - even though the center spindle thing is moving. The dryer hasn't been working for a few years - I can't quite remember what the problem is. I think it was still spinning - but there was a problem with the gas lighting or staying lit. I could be wrong and the dryer could have a problem with the motor as well as the ignition system too. Just so I'm not being misleading - I would assume it was both.

I just plugged in the dryer and the drum is spinning (even though it is louder than I remember), so, I guess that the problem was with the ignition system. The lights work on both - but this is unfortunately, what I know is wrong (wish I knew a little more, so I could fix them up). At this point it's just easier to get rid of them, making room for a new washer.

1965 LM GAS DRYER

The dryer sounds like a broken fan belt. The washer could be as simple as a broken lid switch bracket it holds the mercury lid switch to the rear lid hinge. Hope some one gets these they are good performers.

I wonder if that's the same set that was on C/L a few years ago, that was free, until the owner saw a lot of interest in it, and saw $$$$ signs. That set was in the Windy.
