you'll love it JohnF forced one on me years ago. Wonderful machine. The service door is the lower kick plate panel, drop it down , on the right turn the thumb screw back like John says and you should be fine, if you are a Speeder then be sure to tape the dispenser door shut before you fly off down the road!

Washerlover. i', jealous. these are beautiful units. Yake care of them or i will track you down and confiscate them from you. My siggestionm in the moving of them would be a combonation of what all the other posters have said. Use straps. bailing wire underneath to secure the trannie, and lots of old blankets to protect the fine paint on it. nothing worde than getting home with such a fine set only to see gashes in it. Once again, you go boy. and if you use bailing/mechanics wire, double otr even triple it by puting equal lenhgnths of wire in a drill and twisting them tighytly together for a better stronger peice of wire. good luck. keep us all posted on your sure seccess.

Well, we had a successful trip to pick up the new addition to my family. It is in pristine condition, and indeed a 1965 model. It is a beautiful machine, no problems moving it and thank you all for your advice about the thumb screw! No time to play with it now as we are in the process of buying another house, but will post pics as soon as I get her situated in her new home!

And you won't have to worry about washing your clothing in a pint of water or so, this machine will use a nice amount of water to really clean your clothes!

WATER USE IN KENMORE COMBO

The water level bearley comes up to the tub in this machine the rotospray stream is what straturates the clothes it uses very little water
