This just arrived Saturday afternoon, delivered from Cincinnati. You may remember the Hotpoint Lady Executive posted for sale here posted the first week of July. It looks to be in very nice condition overall and sounds good. I'll do some preventative restore work on her before putting into regular service, check the outer tub, boot, clutch, etc. It was purported to have a leak but I've not had a chance to water test it yet.

Totally Cool!

I've always liked the Lady Executive ad that rotates through the POD, but have certainly never seen one. I'm guessing this is late '60s, probably about the last gasp of real Hotpoint before it became GE-Lite. Thanks for posting!

Wow that machine is super cool!! I've never seen this first TOL GE made Hotpoint washer in person, looking forward to it that's for sure.

Awesome Find!
I grew up with this washer and matching gas dryer for about 8 years.
Dryer lasted longer than the washer.
Fun washer and dryer pair.
Great Sounds from the washer is what is in my memory.
Fun!

Greg that is really AWESOME!   CONGRATS!

So am I to assume, being the first GE built Hotpoint, it's a perforated tub?

Does the control panel light up???

YAY!!!

Very Cool Mid 1970s GE Style Hotpoint Washer

Greg what year is this machine exactly ?, the mid 1970s was about the last of the great styled washers and dryers in this country that were full of mechanical complexity. As we moved into the 1980s most of the really complex machines were gone but quality and longevity increased dramatically, which is what makes finding one of these over the top last of the complex wonders of laundry machines so rare.

Congratulations, Greg! That's a unique washer - I've never seen a control panel with quite as many dials... LOL Does this model feature the lift-off agitator with the 'delicate' agitator beneath?

Can't wait to see the maiden wash!!

As I go in and out of my friends home today in Margate AC..for some air and see this beauty,
on the PC makes me feel at home that you got a Gem.

Nice find Greg !
Love that you can have hours of soak time, your whites will be at there best.
Will you use the handwash agitator ...
Enjoy !

The Legendary Lady Executive

Certain people like me go nuts every time the POD cycles by.

This is the one you can program to wake you up with the sweet sound of water spin-draining after the soak.

Finally, someone has one. Perfect. Wondering if Jackie was the shipper.

In my colorful memory, it's always lilac. And there's always hope you'll paint her in that hue ;'D

You gave me the Mark XII, and now you have "THEE," only-one-known-to-exist, Hotpoint Lady. How cool is that?!
