Maybe

they might not be interested in the fixed push button heat levels?

Maybe they might want P-7 oven cleaning?

That said, this looks like a well-maintained vintage range.

Just my dos centavos.

does it say "insert here?"

I thought I'd post this ebay O'Keefe & Merrit (All Grief & No Merrit) range listing here. I'm not sure if I ever saw one of these come in as a trade-in amongst the many, many Flairs (Western Appliance was primarily a Frigidaire store)...but I think I would have remembered the high Grill-A-Vator. Kind of unusual, no?

if link doesn't work try ebay/collectibles/kitchen & home/large appliances

This may be later than the 50's. When my cousin Mary Frances got her first RN job after nursing school, she bought her mother a GE range that looked much like this. She graduated in either '63 or '64. I've seen ads for ranges with that control panel as late as the late 60's.

Wow . . .

That O & M looks very much like the range some neighbors had when I was growing up. I know they had it by '67 when we moved to the neighborhood. I always thought it was a Whirlpool, but perhaps my memory is wrong. This kind of range is unusual in gas and I think very elegant.

The same neighbors had a nice if dusty pair of slant-front Westys that rarely ever got used as they owned three laundromats (as in self-service laundry); their own clothes usually got washed in one of the store machines being tested after a repair.

Love the flair. I didn't realize that the Grillevator was available in the high/eye level oven.

Friends of mine have a GE (I think) push-button range (same age as one of them, his mom redid her kitchen while she was pregnant) - I think they even still light up. Will have to get pix.

GE Range

That is the exact one in my kitchen, except it is chrome inside. The lady I bought the house from said she bought it in late 58,They changed the knobs in the early sixties, but used the same style for years.Mine is actually quite heavy.Bobby
