Stephanie-
You've done another great job in bringing back something to all it's glory.
It's really surprising how simple the concept of an upright works. Provided you don't abuse that, the vacuum will last for years. But there's always the fools that say, "It doesn't clean anymore, or it doesn't have good suction." And when you tell them to wait a sec and look inside...THE ADVENTURE BEGINS!
Woman I use to work with had that problem on a Hoover Concept One upright. She told me she use to vacuum the leaves and twigs off her indoor outdoor rug on the patio. I thought God what will I find in here. Took off the baseplate and found one of her husbands dress socks in it. (picked it up evidently under the bed) By the time I got that sock out it was a full length stocking all wrapped in leaves and twigs. She got severely teased at work about that one. Everyone had a good laugh as well as her.
People just don't realize vacuums are meant for sucking up dust, lint, and fine particles or debris out of carpeting, upholstery and such. Not twigs, branches, leaves, paperclips, coins, or YOUR HUSBANDS HOSIERY!!!! LMAO
Anyhow Stephanie, you now have another trophy to place with the rest of your collectibles that you can surely be proud of. CONGRATULATIONS!
Rick
