From the list below I'll usually do around five loads a week. Some things (like workwear and bed linen) are done on a set schedule, others as and when there is a full load.
Whites - 60°C with prewash
Darks - 40°C
Workwear - 40°C with prewash
Jeans - 40°C
Towels - 60°C
Bed linen - 60°C
Kitchen/cleaning cloths - 95°C, prewash if needed
In addition, every few weeks I'll run a separate load of yellow and orange items, as and when enough accumulate. Prefer not to wash these with other colours, as I find doing so turns them a dull, sludgy looking shade.
Had my first incidence of cat puke on the bed last week, unfortunately I was still in it at the time. Trying to sort that out, while also getting ready to leave the house for a night shift, was not my idea of a good time. Guess I'll be buying a second set of bed linen in the near future too, just in case.
