Brian, such beautiful work.  Northing short of the meticulous, thought-provoked, outstanding work you have a reputation for.  My heart skipped a beat when I saw the original boot.  I think all westy boots should be that color and not the grey.  Such fond memories .  Now I know the story of the low mileage machine

 

My dad had a cousin who lived outside of Las Cruces NM and when I was about 9 or so, we went and visited her.  Her washer & dryer were out in a garage.  It was a mid-50s Whirlpool Imperial dryer (I remember it buzzed) and had a center dial).  She also had this washer.  If I remember correctly, wash temp was provided by the timer's wash time length--hot, medium, warm and the other knob was 3 position water level.

I love the way your laundry room turned out. The floor reminds me of my grandfather's bathrooms from many years ago.

And I love the Westinghouse laundry machines. The washer cleans well and is practically silent except when it spins. I always thought the dryers were superior to most others.
