Hilda Ogdens Qualcast Panther!!!
The latest flymos are easy to use, I just got a new vision 330, it floats enough to make it easy to move around, this one has a vac nozzle on the back, so as it cuts n mulches the grass it blows it into the cage on top, the nozzle is great for edges ...I cut all my edges first and then as I`m mowing pull the mower backwards to suck up all the cutting etc....these also have rollers at the front for steerage and producing stripes etc...
BUT, like old washers they need care & respect, damp n wet grass does build up underneath really affecting the hover capability, so I always turn off, turn mower over and scoop any grass away, then off we go with full hover power, I`m amazed the number of people I see using them and they cant move it, you turn it over and its crudded with dry months old grass....
This was the most popular mower in its day here...The Qualcast Panther....my Grandad had one that he used to take apart every year and maintain and give it a lick of paint in his own colour of Blue...
The link is to a local museum which is just fab, The pick is of "Hilda Ogdens" Panther.
Enjoy, BUT, turn your volume DOWN, its very high nearly spilt my tea over the keyboard!!!...LOL
