Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

It was a total blast! And my partner and I are not into the bar scene or "circuit" parties. For us, that side of it was a spectacle and turned out to be very entertaining. But it was a super comfortable crowd to be "hanging" with for a week. In comparison, straight cruises we've been on have been crashing bores with respect to passengers and activities, and if there were any interesting men aboard you could pretty much assume they were off limits given the no-escape type of situation. Not so on the bear cruise, and it was a pleasure to greet every man I encountered with a "Good morning" or "How are you today?" enthusiastically as opposed to apprehensively. What a fun way to travel!

Oh, and interestingly, re: the men on straight cruises, we had the top decks on the front of the ship as clothing optional areas. When Carnival pulled in perpendicular to us in Puerto Vallarta, there were men on that ship hanging off the one side facing us. Not a single woman, mind you, and some of the men were using binoculars. Of course, some of the men on our ship decided to give them something to really look at . . .

Yeah, it was a really FUN time.

I heard from others on the cruise that Atlantis is oriented to a younger crowd than RSVP is. Even though the bear contingent was probably barely 10% of the entire group on the ship, we more or less set the tone for things, had some of our own events and our presence was well known. I have no complaints about RSVP. We had a great time, and I think even a non-bear RSVP cruise would be fun.

Yogi/Martin, the word from the travel agency that arranges these cruises is that we should all keep October 2010 open. I know nothing more than that. That's only a year and a half away. Start planning!

I can tell you'd have a great time. It literally was LOADS of fun.

For some of you (and me) who love BEARS,

There is another web site call BiggerCity.com. This is for bears, chubs, followers ,etc. Great site and a nice place to chat with other big guys. They even have a Big Get Together once a year. This year's event is being held in Los Vegas.

I know some local guys who are on biggercity. I'll have to check on the Vegas thing. We went to "Lucky Bear Weekend" in Vegas last October and had a blast there at the Blue Moon resort.

Considering some of the extra gear a lot of the men took aboard (see pix links if necessary) a wash-in might not be out of the question. Or at the very least, an in-depth tour of the ship's laundry facilities. I suspect a group of us could party inside one of their washers!

Debbie Reynolds

Sure enough Bill, that's ol' Mary-Frances from Burbank up on the stage. She was the "headliner" for the cruise entertainment. Can't say her show was all that great--film clips and stories--but she sure looked great for 77. She also hosted a Q&A the next day. She was on the ship the whole week and we saw her around. I had no idea that Deb fell into the same category as Judy and Barbara for so many men. Best part of her show was being in the crowd--all men of course, and when she'd get the theater roaring, that's exactly how it sounded SRO with men and I felt like I was part of a USO crowd or something. What an awesome environment!
