Goodness!
Aw, come on, guys! Can't a salaried guy have a long day at work?? :-D
I didn't mean to keep you on the edge of your seats...
...much ;-)
Jaxsun and Clean-team tie for the prize: a WCI Kelvinator. I'm uncertain as to the age, but it has to be 1981 or newer, since WCI wouldn't have grabbed the GM-Frigidaire cabinet design any sooner.
However, the awful harvest gold color indicates that it can't be too new.
For such a "cheap" machine, the wash action is fun and splashy, and just to keep things in tune with the Evil Kenmore™, the timer is still push-to-start.
Of course, the stupid thermal lock and lid switch had to go... ;-)
It's incredibly easy to work on, and believe it or not, a profusion of plastic, stainless steel, and aluminum exists where all the underwater things should be. Stainless steel tub bolts (with metal basket but plastic outer tub), aluminum top o' the transmission, and plastic sleeve on the agitator shaft.
I consider it to have a lot of fine points, because it will not, at least, disintegrate like the Kenmore did.
So, I like it. But I guess that means I'll have to move toward the Super thread for this one, eh? :-D
Again, I apologize for the antici...
..pation.
;-)
