Fitting of the new Hotpoint analogue motor. Motor arrived complete with wiring instructions for fitting to many of the old 18 and 95 series machines, I had to discard the connecting plug as I could not fit my wiring in it and it required a special tool.

Next I have fixed some din rail to the top right hand side in front of the motor with 6 relays fitted to it for motor isolation, motor direction and speed selection.

Wiring harness going down to the bottom where the speed module will fit and pick-up the mains from the door inter lock.

Now just to sort that speed module out ( phase two), I have tried to get the correct edge connector but could not as Hotpoint say it’s an obsolete part, so I have soldered some tails to the circuit board and put a connector socket and plug arrangement on so it can be removed easily.

Still not sure of some of the connections so this could have a very shot life????

Haven’t done much today but fit the speed module in and run the wires up to the relays it’s to cold out in the garage and I’m putting off trying to work out those speed selection cables.
