I've had to use this machine over the pastv4 weeks.. I'm not impressed. At all.. It works ok but it has a cheap feel to it and the cycles all seem the same. I can at least make it fill with water all the way

The cycles all seem the same.

Maybe all of those buttons are attached to the same switch.
It also looks like they might have forgotten to install the agitator.
I wouldn't even dip my ear hairs in a machine like that let alone try to wash a load of laundry.

I have to disagree for the most part.....these have an interesting wash pattern compared to some, for saturating the load with a detergent lather...

it just takes some getting used to....as mentioned by many, using a good detergent is beneficial for exceptional cleaning.....

as much as I wanted to agree that these are worthless at cleaning.....have found most to be effective...both at washing and rinsing....

its just not what were used to....

sorry you are not experiencing better results....

2012 LG washer I recently junked had a 1200w water heater

That should have been good enough to get the load up to room temperature (during the summer) while the machine lasted!

Quality...

I will say that the models with the glass lid have a higher quality feel compared to the plastic-fantastic models at the lower end.

The one I had cleaned very well, actually. (GE Harmony)
It was rougher on clothing than I had originally hoped.
And it developed a creak with each reverse pulse.
And I had a service issue with the control panel failing to come on.

Eventually, I gave them away and moved on.

almost any machine today is made of thinner/cheaper metals.....

but in the long run is just that....expected longevity is yet to be seen, its not too impressive as of yet....

granted their making changes into newer machines, but way too many have failed giving most a bad rap.....its going to take a lot to build up that trust again.....if even the company itself is able to stick around that long....

I know a few people who absolutely love their top load high efficiency machines. I am not a fan and sold mine to a friend who is 100% happy with it. Although I ended up buying another front load set I did try to find something close to what top loaders used to be with the classic agitator. All I could find was what appeared to be cheap junk. Everything was flimsy...the lid, the knobs, the drum, the agitator, you name it. What I really wanted was to find a washer how they used to be made even though in the back of my mind I knew that wasn't going to happen, and I was right. I do love the washer and dryer we have now but I still hold out hope that someday I will find a classic set that still works. [this post was last edited: 10/19/2016-13:01]
