I thought I'd share the insides of my LG washer. I always like to see how things are made and how they work.

Enjoy!

Thanks for all the great photos. I have an LG dishwasher---which is the best dw I've ever owned---and there's a TOL washer/dryer pair (with the square window) in the local appliance dealer's window, just begging me to take it home. Yours looks brand new. Have you had it long? How do the machines perform?

The main concern I've heard concerning LG appliances has to do with repair/service. Fortunately, my local dealer does their own servicing.

Lovely Duet set there Andrew, how do you find them for wash & dry performance etc??, those direct drive motors always look very impressive, no seperate motors or belts, heres what one of our smaller units looks like attached to the drum!!#

The link will take you to our current selling models, a new standard non steam range is due out shortly...

Bearings

Mike,

Curious why you had yours apart? I havent ever been able to see the bearings before, those are much bigger than I thought they would be. I hope the bearings in mine last a while, I've heard front loaders are sometimes bearing challenged. I guess time will tell. So far, not a single problem with the machines, I really enjoy them. The Sanitary cycle is my favorite!

Bearings...

Hi Andrew,
In awnser to your question, you have hit the nail on the head with the main problem with these machines.

I just love the bearings on these machines, they dont last long at all, replacing these bearings is paying off my mortgage!.

However I hope you dont have this problem, Good luck. . .
