My mom has nasty water, and alot of her whites wind up stained brown after coming out of the machine. She has been washing her whites at my house. I used Lime Away in her machine a SQ T/L with a stainless steel tub. I used HOT water and two rinses, then ran an empty machine again with HOT water, Pre-wash, Wash and two rinses. Am I being nuerotic, I didn't measure the Lime Away, and probably used about two cups. Did I mess up the Stainless Steel tub by using this? I did this to clean out any buildup in the outer tub , and pump.

Please tell me what I wanna hear, and say no! LOL

I've used it in my FL before to get out some chalky white buildup, and other than sudsing up - a lot - it seemed to do the trick. That was a few years ago and no problems since.

Importantly, did it help the issue? Did the SS tub look shinier when you were done?

Mike, I used that stuff in the stainless steel dishwasher I used at my old job. It was seriously caked with lime deposits. It didn't harm a thing in it, it was just a pain in the butt to get it all rinsed out before I could use it. It'll be fine :)

Thanks guys...................................

I appreciate your input, I feel better now, thanks.
