Lint Balls I have known

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

Yesterday, I had a lint wad similar to Phil's after washing the Velux blanket from our bed, and an afghan I bought at an estate sale. I washed them in my 1971 Maytag A806s, and dried them in my 1971 DE606, and the lint filter disc was lightly covered also. There was quite a bit of hair in the lint from the washer. They came out of the DE606 so nice & soft, and only faintly smelling of the Suavitel Morning Sun softener I used.

I always thought WP should have come out with some kind of paddle tool for those so you could do just one swipe and get all the lint!!

ALEX! UGH those balls are living under my paddles?? WHO KNEW and I think I'm a pretty knowledgeable washer guy!! Gonna get the nut driver out now!

Ewwwww! Gross!

Most of what WOULD be lint balls actually gets stuck in my drain! If only I could have shared a shot of my laundry tub over-flowing before I periodically unstuck the lint after some of my wash loads... (See following pictures)

Technically

what you have there TrainGuy is a "lint attack" or under doctrine a "lint infestation across the time barrier". Run! get your brush before its too late!!

Wait till you see how much lint I got out of the '57 Charcoal dryer John says I'm hoarding!!! Your pics will make a good comparison !!

Alex: ... !!! ....under the dryer paddles? OMG, I won't sleep tonight...but will tear apart the dryer to vacuum and find these festering little globs of fiberoids. :-) To be serious, isn't this why some fires start in a dryer...lint balls?

Larry - I found your dryer more interesting than the lint! Nice machine. I also liked the Spaceshuttle vid that followed.
