I'm looking for the pulsator for a unimatic washer a 1950 will fit.The year made or what's on there now is a 56 pulsator. The rubber on mine is starting to crack. Willing to pay. Thanks
A member named Bud in Atlanta was making these several years ago. He saved my WO65-2 by making the new Pulsator. I sent the old one to him because he needs the metal mounting plate for the new one. Maybe someone knows or remembers his profile name. We need a classification as HEROES of members like him and Robert Unimatic who make things to save our treasured appliances.
Thanks for the info! I met Robert. He did three rings for my washer and a cover they fit great. The guy knows what he's doing. Unfortunately at this time he's not set up for the bigger bottom piece. I think he said he was going to try to get set up for the summer maybe or fall. I'm going to keep checking in with him to see how it's going. Thanks for the name of Bud in Atlanta. I'll see if maybe i can find him the the directory. Sometimes some names get left on there. Doesn't hurt to check it out. My bottom of the pusator is cracking. I bought some of that flex tape and that seems to be working and holding it together. I'd like to get it fixed as soon as I can because I use the washer and dryer weekly and they work great. I sold the LG's. That washer spins cloths out better than my Lg did and that's a surprise being old as it is.Thanks again for the info It gives me somewhere to start.
Back in 2017 I started a search for the model Frigidaire washer that my grandmother had all the years that I was growing up. She bought it new in 1962 and it lasted till 1987. You know how it goes, you don't miss something until its gone. Well for the last 33 years I thought of that...
Thank you, Steve for the link with the name. SFH074. I have written it on a 3X5 card and put it inside the machine with the installation instructions from Bud. You belong in the Hero category with Bud and Robert and others.
I chatted with Bud this past fall. It sounded like he’s busy with other projects, so I’m not sure if he would have capacity to take on making pulsators at this time.
Sadly, your best bet at the moment might be to find another WO-65 with a good pulsator to use as parts. Otherwise, you might find someone willing to part with a spare.
