That is from a 1958 Westinghouse dealer promo film
That film was shot in 1958 and according to my sources was used as a Westinghouse dealer promo film. At that time Westinghouse sponsored the Westinghouse Desilu Playhouse which was an anthological series. It was under this banner that the 13 Lucy Desi Comedy hours were made between the Fall of 1957 and March 1960. As a matter of fact the day after the last Lucy Desi Comedy Hour was filmed Lucille Ball filed for divorce from Desi. It was March 3rd 1960 Desi 43rd birthday. Anyway the plot of this film is as follow. Lucy wants to put all new Westinghouse appliances in her dressing room at Desilu Gower but in typical Ricky fashion Desi says NO!!!!! Lucy in typical Lucy fashion decides to get those appliances by hook or crook. Her chance comes when the Westinghouse dealer from Beverly Hills, Mr. Hayden comes to the studio to find out what Desilu has planned for the Westinghouse Desilu playhouse. Of course Desi will not let her go on the tour with him and Mr. Hayden. At that fortuitous time who shows up to see if Lucy and Desi want to have lunch???? You guessed it Vivian Vance and William Frawley. Desi says he can't go to lunch but that Lucy can and he and Mr. Hayden leave to go on a helicopter tour of the studio. As they leave the office Lucy tells Viv and Bill that they have to rush as she has to conduct some Westinghouse business for her new dressing room with Mr. Hayden and that she needs their help. Viv ask Lucy "Is this a plot to put something over on Desi?" to which Lucy coyly smiles and Bill says " As Betty Furness would say You can be sure if its Lucy." After the helicopter tour Viv and Bill join Desi and Mr. Hayden for the rest of the tour and tell Desi that Lucy had somethings to do and won't be joining them which makes Desi breathe easier. For the rest of the tour Bill and Viv distract Desi so Lucy can order her new appliances and have them delivered that afternoon. To do this she hides in a Tiujuan Street display window dressed as a manniquin in Mexican clothes, she disquises herself as a set painter, and as a Gorilla in the prop building. Finally at the end of the tour Desi says he will have a print of the first show ready that afternoon to which Mr. Hayden replies " Thats fine as I have a rush order I have to get out I'll be back later." After showing Mr. Hayden the film later that afternoon Desi asks him to go by Lucy's dressing room just to make a list of what she will need when they are ready to make the purchaes. Haltingly Mr. Hayden agrees and when Lucy won't let Desi in Desi uses his pass key and finds a room full of brand new 1958 Westinghouse appliances. In the middle of the room we see Lucy peering out of a Spacemate Laundromat. When Desi demands that she come out she say " I can't I'm not dry yet." To which Desi, turning to the audience, replies " We'll see you in October folks...if she's dry by then." It is kitschy film and I think it is neat to see the actors playing themselves so to speak, even though it is still has a Lucy vs. Ricky feel to it.
