My guilty pleasure show, Flipping Out is returning in August, as well. Don't watch many reality shows (although all the people on F'ing Out are aspiring actors, I've learned), but I enjoy Ace Of Cakes and Flipping Out.
I'm not even staying current with Big Brother, this season.

I think this is going to be season 3. We just finished up watching all of season 2 via Netflix. We're really bad about appointment TV, yes we own a DVR but have never been so hooked on a show that we felt the need to use it. I think that will change on 8/16.
Mad Men is a great show with excellent artistic execution. There are some flaws like the t-bar ceilings in the office and there are far too many telephones with modular cords, but over all they have really nailed the early 60's, particularly in a cultural sense.
I also like the references to how far a dollar used to go. Like one scene where Pete gives away the ending to a movie and Peggy responds in her signature unflappable style, "That's OK, you saved me 50 cents." It seems so strange for people who were clearly making good money to be so concerned over an expenditure of even 10 cents. It made me feel kind of old because yeah, when I was a kid a nickel actually did buy you something at the candy counter or Coke cooler.
Looking forward to 8/16. Considering how they really managed to convey the grave circumstances around the Cuban Missle Crisis and how crushed the secretarial pool was over Marilyn, I'm interested in how they'll be working the JFK event, which may likely be this season's finale. I suppose there might be some cause for rejoicing by S-C leadership from a business standpoint but I'll be watching for the human side of it, which I suspect they'll convey very authentically.
