I was doing some cleaning and ran onto this old magazine I got at an estate sale, a few years ago. It's "Household," from May 1958. It has a few fun ads in it, so I thought I'd share them with you all.

First, we have Tide.....

Ad #5, cont'd.....

The RCA Whirlpool Mark XXX Range ad was too large, so here's the second half of the centerfold.....

You just posted my GE dream kitchen. I saw a Whirlpool on YouTube last night that looked a lot like that. Thanks for the great ads. Suzy here used to work for Revlon, talk at ya later!

How did she even get it in the oven?

I think she took off her pumps, stabbed the spike heels into each end of the roast, and then headed for the oven.

(And you just thought that June Cleaver and the others dressed like that in order to look nice!)

Yes-Those ads were so cool!-have a stack of 50's magazines and love looking thru them.also remember when I was a kid loved to read thru them then.and in the older B&H&G magazines they had so many GOOD articles the newer one doesn't have.Got my older magazines from the thrift store and a used bookstore that closed down!the bookstore sold me the magaznies at 50cents per large box!

Where's the rest of this cow?

That poor dear, her arms must be aching - hopefully she has a KitchenAid dishwasher!

I just noticed that that TOL 30" range only had one 8" element and three 6" units. Strange, for such high-end model.

I also see that someone has spoiled their dinner nibbling on the cake!

I have about a five foot stack of old magazines, bought strictly for the ads. I do not and will not hack out the ads and sell them(those who do, not a slam). One of my missing prizes is the 1958 "Sheer Look" refrigerator ad. Gown by Janice Wells.
