Magic Chef 10(!) burner stove PGH CL

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

We had this exact model at

my church. It served us well, with minimal trouble, from 1953 to 2011.

However, it has to be installed very precisely in a home setting (or better, not at all in a home), or one's fire insurance will be voided.

However, for what it is, it is excellent.

Looks so much like a restaurant kitchen range.Think of the gas line needed to run that thing-kinda neat though-but don't cook THAT much at once.Guess if you had to have that at home--you hosted a LOT of parties!

What? Only TEN?

I remember someone here having a gigantic range like that here! Only a No-Name, in white!

And look how that is an OLD Magic Chef logo, too! The "chef" got up-dated (replaced by a "younger looking" one) over the years!

And I remember seeing a Magic Chef ad promoting a Magic Chef stuffed toy!

I think that is a fair price. If I was closer and had room, I'd buy it. Just what I need, another big stove to go with my Roper T&C and Chambers Imperial! The market for these is limited and they often sell for cheap.

And yes, residential installation will require modifications: outside venting and the stove will have to be further insulated - many old commercial ranges were designed to be free standing and had little or no insulation on the sides or back, fire hazard in residential homes where a stove is shoehorned into the cabinets.
