You don't see many of these for sale any longer, especially in what appears to be very nice condition. "Upscale" Indian Wells is just a few miles east of PS. Unfortunately there's no price listed so the owner probably has a good idea of what it's worth. I was going to call and make an inquiry but I don't need 2 of these things.

So far a Magnavox Concert Grand has not been seen AT ALL in the area where I live.No Magnavox dealers near here-when they were sold-closest was Raleigh& Charlette.Would like to see a TT money shot of the set being sold above.Would be cool-but afraid of what the price would be and THEN--SHIPPING it-these are Heavy, bulky, and DELICATE to ship-and the packer and shipper has to know how to handle these without damage!!!Just have fond memories of the one my Mom had and the enjoyment I got from it and she got out of it.Also I loved working on it and keeping it going.

Wow, That Concert Grand is just like mine. I have a model 1ST500S with the 8201 00 amps. Does anyone know where I can obtain the schematic for this model? Mine works fine, but should be recapped. Also, mine does not have the multiplex unit in it for stereo FM. I see the Magnavox multiplex units on eBay all the time, but don't know if they are ok for the Concert Grand or not. Anyone know about this?

Rex...one of the reasons you can't find a Concert Grand in Greenville NC is because my friend in Greeneville Tennessee has 3 or 4 of them in his huge Magnavox collection. Magnavox had a large assembly plant there years ago, now long shuttered and closed. He sold a number of his pieces to the Magnavox Museum in the area.

Rick...if you would like me to take some photos of the multiplex adaptor in my CG (same 1959 model pictured above) I would be happy to email them to you. I have seen the same adaptor on ebay from time to time and they tend to be inexpensive.

You can find expert advice on almost all things Magnavox here...

Thank you Joe! Please do email me some photos of the multiplex unit. If you see any number on it, I would love that also. My email address is in my profile. Thanks again! Rick

Other reasons Magnavox equipment is hard to find here-no dealer nearby-folks in this area didn't want to pay the higher prices for the Magnavox equipment.Forgot about the plant that built them in Tennesee.A freind of mine who came from Tennessee that used to work at the transmitter site remembered that Magnavox site-later he told me they built Philips Tv's and other equipment there before it shut down.In the 20 years I have lived in Greenville,NC I have only seen two Magnavox consoles and one consolette record player.Thats it.These were brought in from when those people moved here-they bought their Manavoxes from where they moved from.NONE of the thrift or other places here get Magnavoxes-although they say they will call me if one should show up.
