I'm hoping someone can help me out with this. I have a few files that I downloaded (for work out purposes) from You Tube that I'd like to add to DVD. I chose to use Windows Movie Maker and do kinda like a "step by step" (or workout by workout) production As these files had an .flv extension, I converted them (at first) to .wmv format. I proceeded to make the "movie" with them, and burnt them on to a DVD.
Well, they would NOT show on my Sony or Polaroid (older player) DVD players. I kept on getting "no audio data" and "no video data" on the TV screen. I thought perhaps the file format was wrong, so I tried making them in the .mpeg2 format. Same result. I even tried to convert them to .iso files, but I'm not that experienced with those types of files, so I really didn't even try to mess with them. I even tried burning a DVD with the .mpeg2 files using a demo of Nero 10, but it won't recognize them.
I did find one program on the Web that pretty much did what I wanted to see on the DVD, with an index and a small window preview of the file. The program is "ConvertXToDVD 4". There is a trial version for it, but it leaves a very "nasty" watermark on the video which remains until you buy/register the program (and right now, even with the 10% off they're offering on it until Friday, I can't afford 45.00 at this point).
So, I'm asking for any assistance on this situation. Also, are there any FREE .iso conversion file programs out there, or something similar to ConvertX?
Thanks for any help anyone may be able to provide.
