Something lite-hearted. I'm not sure which one of his grossly-out dated guesstimates hurt the most.

Probably his Maytag with 'stock knobs'. The thing that crossed my mind is he probably shows off his vintage stuff when he brings a date over. Eyes rolling!

You guys be the judge.

Ben

lol!! Well, to him it looks like the 1950's. <: He's just a baby.....

That washer is a Maytag Dependable Care unit from around 1982-85 or so. Last year we were watching a friends house and he had one exactly like that. In perfect condition. When he sold the house he left the set behind for the new owners and went with a set of GE Adoras.
I wonder where this kids parents were while this was being filmed? Is this kid here on aw.org? Someone needs to invite him so he can be better educated about the vintages of appliances!

LOL, Well he tried....

...just trying to be positive.

Manilla, OMG!
It's like watching a 4 year old trying on his fathers shoes, or in this case his mothers high heels, with a look of bewilderment on his face.

since when does a 6 month old GE refrig qualify as Classic?
"stock knobs" ???
"off-white" ? he needs to get some proper book learning. Recite with me: white, almond, harvest gold, avacodo, coffee, petal pink, turquoise, black, coffee, sunshine yellow, coppertone, toast, platinum.

yes, dryers have filters and on top too. what do you know.

he needs to just smile and look pretty. no, no, don't speak and ruin it... shhhh. no, no, shhhhh... no speak..

Too cute. He reminds me of Steve Sandvoss (from "Latter Days").

I especially liked the clock that was stuck on 4:20. :-)

I saw this a while back while following AP Wagner's Oldest Appliance Contest - there is an Easy washer and a couple of wringers in the playlist as well as a 50's Hamilton dryer. The winner of the contest was a stove...of course.

The clock stuck on 4:20 cracked me up! No wonder everything is off-white and manilla. Need more snacks in that fridge if the clock is permanently stuck there!

This vid. is a bit more PC.

I find the 4x4 coppertone tiles interesting.

did she say CHANGE. I don't think I want to know what has followed.

Harvest Green ???

I like this stove because of the Avacodo.

complete with surface outlet and analog clock. You never see that any more. (sigh)

27" drop-in stove still made? hmm. I think I will allot a full 30 seconds to check the GEappliance website.
I guess those of us in the know about appliances can take it for granted what is available.

I watched the video again...

Since when is Almond called "Off White".
The refrigerator was restored? Why? It's too new for a restoration!
Does "specialty shop" equate to appliance store?
That Roper stove is probably from the late 80's-early 90's. That's when the Almond/Black color combo was popular.

Since he mentioned Omaha, perhaps one of our Omaha members can go over and straighten this kid out!

He seems like a nice young man, I have to agree though he would probably really enjoy this club and learn a lot. Greg, you need to take him under your wing!!

His heart is in the right place, but that's about it; Can you imagine how he'd flip if he saw some of AW members' real vintage appliances?!

4:20 references: Boy there are more (former, of course) smokers at AW than I thought!

I loved...........

......Oven will get up to 550, of course i keep it at 450. But that little extra ummmpf is there if i need it. Wonder what he is cookin at 450 ?
