Matag DWU Problem

I have a friend who has a Matag DWU (sorry didn't have anything to write the rest of the model) that does not get water to the upper rack. Pump is working to feed the bottom and top arms. Also the door to the detergent dispensor does not open as it should. I'd like to help him fix it. Ideas?

Joe, could the upper wash tube openings (I'm assuming it's a reverse rack model) be clogged?  Not sure about the detergent dispenser, but again, assuming a reverse rack model, it may be the solenoid that controls the cover that is at fault. 

 

That's my stab at it - I'm sure someone who really knows about Maytags will chime in too.
