Estate series at that time probably was sold through K-Mart.
It reminds me of the pair neighbors from my first house I bought in 1980. They got married in 1974 or 1975 and bought a house a year or two later. Harvest Gold appliances in their first house. They brought the washer, dryer, and fridge with them. All purchased at K-Mart. The fridge was a Frigidaire and lasted into the early 1990s. The washer & dryer were still going strong in 1987 or 1988 when they were replaced with Shredmore series 70 models. I think they give the Whirlys to a relative.
