Nothing about a Design 2000 appliance says Antique

Design 2000 was the designation for early direct drive whirlpool washers. This one is a belt drive circa 1985. I do agree that classic or even vintage would be a better description than antique.

It's not a Design 2000 / direct-drive.

LA7800 belt-drive washer.  Probably LA5800 dryer being that it isn't super-capacity with the bumped-out bulkhead.
