So I am researching mattresses. I need to buy a new one. There are frequently asked questions:
Q. Why does my Sleep Number Mattress make noises?

Sleep Number's are expensive. My in-laws opted for an articulated frame type instead. We just have a very firm Stearns and Foster that's really thick with a pillow top. Made in Mexico now. No complaints and we've had it since 2007 or '08. I slept alone on it during the week until 2015 though. Hubby has the worst back so he'll say when it's time to replace it.
We had a Dormia hybrid with gel filed channels and partial memory foam. After 8 years he didn't like it anymore. Art Van furniture told us it was still under warranty, but we didn't want another one. I believe it was made in N.Y. state.

get an adjustable base that vibrates/massages....anyone with back issues can always find a perfect setting....

and there are mattress's that heat and cool as options...
