Thank you for the video. I think a far better demo of the wash action from the tower under the upper rack would be achieved by blocking the lower rack with pots, pans and bowls, then see how well the water distribution from the tower works.
I have a Maytag DWC4910AAW, the series before this one. It has the pop-up tower and was the first series after the reverse rack machines. It cleans very well what I can load into it. In the operating instructions, there is not one picture of a pot, pan or bowl in the loading instructions. They show cookie sheets racked along the sides of the lower rack and mention "pans" once in the loading instructions for the upper rack. They show the upper rack filled with plates and cereal bowls and one picture of it filled with glasses, but the whole thing looks like they had not quite thought out the switch from the reverse rack loading. The WP-made Power Clean model with the full width wash arm under the upper rack is a far better solution for loading what I wash, just like the full width wash arm under the upper rack in my modified KDS 18s.
