Timer motor.

When the machine would shut down I could still hear the timer advancing through the cycle. Every so often you could hear a click and you could also hear the timer motor running. To me it almost seems like a contact is bad. Sometimes the machine would do a sort of jerking motion a couple times as it was trying to make contact.

I'm late to the party here, but wowweee!  Congratulations on finding such an amazing 906 set!  I hope you can get the timer issues resolved quickly!  

I've heard information to the contrary, but there was a company here in Canada, Turners Timer Repair, who were still willing and able to repair vintage washer timers.  Last one I sent in was about 2 years ago for a tune-up on my 55 Pulsamatic timer.
